Assistant Professor
Department of Management
Lingnan University
I completed my PhD at the UCL School of Management, and before that I studied at the University of Cambridge and the University of Toronto.
I study the strategic behaviors individuals use to navigate challenges in their interactions with people and technologies at work. One line of my research examines the nature and psychological consequences of behaviors people use to manage social relationships (such as brokering) and to influence how others perceive these relationships (such as hiding and faking friendships) at work. Another line investigates how generative AI reshapes work and relationships. I examine how employees’ perceptions of their jobs shift as they recraft their tasks in response, and how generative AI influences people’s social perceptions and relationships.
